Founder & DirectorFrom Technology to the Transformative Power of Early Education
Sivadevi, Director of Kalpavrikshalaya, is an Engineering Graduate who worked as a Software Engineer in multinational IT firms before embarking on her true calling in education. While seeking a meaningful, stress-free educational environment for her daughter, she discovered Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophy, developed through scientific observation of how children learn.
This resonated profoundly with her conviction that every child is an independent explorer who blossoms in a fearless environment. She completed her Montessori Diploma from the Indian Montessori Training Course (IMTC), Chennai and earned a Child Psychology Diploma from Stonebridge University, UK. She also worked as an educator in Delhi government school transformations through the renowned "I Am A Teacher" organization in Gurgaon.

Our handcrafted wooden emblem represents the living essence of Kalpavrikshalaya ("The Wish-Fulfilling Sanctuary"). At the center stands a child with arms joyfully raised—evolving like the sturdy trunk of a tree—surrounded by a vibrant canopy of colorful leaves in harmonious Montessori hues.
